These pages are just my own playground and it is hence permanently under construction/modification, but you are welcome to browse and use any of its contents if you find anything of use.
One of my hobbies is (of course) photography - one of several interests shared with my wife Christine, helping to keep us talking to each other even after 25 years of wedded bliss(!) with 2 grown-up sons. So I have included a token photo gallery (quickly selected from many 1000's) as well as some other early toying with javascript. Christine's web-pages are better organised and are the result of a recent short course in web site creation.
My other interests include history/archaeology (mainly arm-chair), visiting places (anywhere interesting), syncretism (look it up), mathematical puzzles, listening to music (from rock through folk to classical) and family history. So this site might (possibly) contain associated pages or links in future - but apathy rules.
It is probable that my web-pages will change with no notice from time to time, perhaps drastically. Hence it is probably unwise to link to individual pages - though I'd be amazed and flattered if you link to this site at all. Letting me know (email) of your links to my site might persuade me to consider you when changing my site and I might even return the favour. ;-)
I am employed as a software engineer, currently designing and developing web-applications. However, to be frank, after playing with software all day at work I really cannot be bothered (CBA) to spend time finishing off my own web-site. Also, my current ISP (BT Openworld) does not support any server-side dynamic generation of web-pages, so this site is entirely static HTML apart from some fairly basic client-side javascript - making its development and maintenance an overhead that I can well do without. I would be happy with anything from CGI (C++, perl etc.) to e.g. ASP.NET (VB or C#)) or PHP with any database (e.g. SQLServer, MySQL) on any OS (e.g. Windoze, Unix) but I would have to change ISP for that (groan) - it might happen if my apathy ever reduces.
You can if you wish let me know of mistakes and any dreaded broken links - although I do periodically run a web-site checking utility (one of my creations) over both mine and Christine's pages. Don't bother criticising my colour scheme - Chris has beaten you to it :-)
